Branch Report - May 2026
Apologies for the lack of a report in last month's Nacelle due to a 'technical problem' We had an interesting talk by Bob Haynes, one of Norman Hyde's colleagues at the Meriden Works. Later in April Martin Wake arranged a charity ride out to the recently reopened Jacks Hill Cafe near Towcester. The monthly BMF event at Mallory Park was also well supported by our members as well as several hundred other bikers. In May the Rugby Bikefest was attended by about a dozen members who joined the several hundred other bikes spread around the town centre. Our regular meets at our HQ on Monday evenings are attended by around 30 members each week who, on sunny evenings, arrive on bikes to well populate one of the car parks. Tuesdays a group of about a dozen meet at Wellesbourne's airfield 'Touchdown' Cafe; and Wednesdays a similar number meet at Hoar Park Farm where hundreds of bikers regularly fill the allotted car park area. Up coming we will be at Cassington Bike Night on Monday 29th June, Festival of 100 bikes, Mallory Park, Triumph Factory Night on 8th July, BMF, Mallory Park on 10th, Founder's Day, Stanford Hall on Sunday 19th. Last months new members were Dario Payne, Michael Littler, Roger Minion, Matthew Briggs, and Tony Hart. The latest new members include, Tony Hart and Kevin Wood. We welcome you all and hope to see you soon, at one of our meetings.
