Branch Report - April 2026
On our club night in April we were pleased to welcome back Bob Haynes. The previous month he accompanied Norman Hyde; but this time he came as our speaker in his own right. He regaled us with stories from his working life at various companies. All done without notes or slides. A very pleasant chap. Martin Wake arranged a 'Gone but not forgotten' charity ride to the recently reopened Jacks Hill cafe and Truck stop on the A45 near Towcester. About 15 riders met at The Long Itch Diner on a Sunday morning. We were then led on a meandering scenic run to the cafe. We had many runs to this cafe before it closed a few years ago. The interior has been revamped a little but it still retains its original feel. The weather was kind to us and remained dry so that most got home before the threatened showers.
Looking forward there is a very popular BMF evening at Mallory Park on Friday 24th May. June 6/7 -is the Coventry Motofest but the Banbury Run is on the 7th, and we have a stand there. Plus a couple of our members are in it, and a couple more of us are marshalling. Other events are on our website and maybe emailed to members. We welcome 5 new members to our branch: Dario Payne, Michael Littler, Roger Minion, Matthew Briggs, and Tony Hart. We hope to see you soon, we meet every Monday evening.
