Branch Report - October 2025
On one Monday evening in place of the advertised talk we held our second recent film night. 2 films, history of the Bonneville and Craig Vetter talking about his redesigns of Triumph models and, of course, the X75. Both very interesting.
Two evenings later 3 members attended a briefing by senior members of the Triumph team at Hinckley. The jam-packed audience heard from Design Lead Ben Kerrell-Vaughan and Development Lead Peter Flynn.
After making contact, 3 members from Somerset rode up to Coventry Transport Museum where John Nelson and I successfully met up with them.
Our annual stand at the N.E.C. Classic Vehicle Show looks like being fully populated with members bikes (as I write on 30th October) and so with a new location in Hall 3 it should be an interesting weekend. Ian Mountford (Monty) has done a good job of taking over from Den. O'Neil who is taking things easier now. Hopefully our recruitment drive headed by George and assisted by Lynn will have continued.
Looking ahead the one event left on our calender will be our Christmas meal in our HQ's function room. Our first one in house, last year, went reasonably well so this one promises to be even better. Our Monday evenings at our HQ are a permanent fixture where you are always sure of a warm welcome in our Triumph themed lounge.
We have 2 new members to welcome this month; Hugh Duck and Kevin Grindley.
