Meriden Branch Report October 2023

Some of our members attended the Trifest weekend near Skegness. Ian Ellis was there with partner Shirley:

“A couple of weeks ago five from the branch went to Skegfest at Chapel St Leonards. Steve & Mary, Ian & Shirley and Terry. Terry won the best Classic award with his Tiger Cub. He didn't ride there as he is running it in. As a bonus he also won £40 in the prize draw. Once we had all dried out after a very wet journey on the Friday we all enjoyed the dry weekend. Shirley enjoyed the dancing! Steve and Mary went on the ride-out. It was good to catch up with some of our friends.

We all had a dry ride home on Monday, thank goodness.”

At the end of the month was the annual open days weekend at the National Motorcycle Museum. Although not one of our events the N.M.M. is ‘just down the road’ from us so is attended by our members. If you have never been to this event you are missing a treat. Free entry, free parking – for bikes, and there were several hundred of them! - and you could meet and listen to Henry Cole and his mates.

The remaining main event for our year is our annual Festive Dinner at the Toby Carvery Stonebridge on 8/12/23 7pm for 7:30 meal. Names please asap to book your place. Details should be on our website.

Our Monday meets continue throughout the Winter.
