Meriden Branch Report November 2023

A couple of months ago five from the branch went to Skegfest at Chapel St Leonards. Steve & Mary, Ian & Shirley and Terry. Terry won the best Classic award with his Tiger Cub. He didn't ride there as he is running it in. As a bonus he also won £40 in the prize draw! Once they had all dried out after a very wet journey on the Friday they all enjoyed the dry weekend. Shirley enjoyed the dancing! Steve and Mary went on the ride-out. It was a good opportunity for them to catch up with friends.

The open weekend at the National Motorcycle Museum – just down the road from our HQ – was attended by many of our members.

The major events for November were at the N.E.C. The first being the Classic Vehicle Show at which we had a major stand. About 2 dozen Triumph bikes were on display. More details should be in “Branching out”

The other event was Motorcycle Live at which John Nelson and Steve. Malin helped out on the TOMCC stand. These 2 events generated several new members to our branch. We therefore welcome the following new members and hope to see them on a Monday or at events we attend:

Richard Madden, Brian Warr, Anthony Kirby, Samuel Villiers, Ian Hancock, Peter Tomkinson.

As this is our last report of the year we wish all members good health and good riding next year when we will have more events to look forward to.
