Meriden Branch Report May 2023

Our regular Monday evening social meet at the Heart of England Social Club sees more members arrive on bikes as the evenings get lighter and warmer. Over thirty on some nights.

Besides these we have attended 2 events in the past month. The first was the annual Rugby Bikefest. Steve Bradwick led a dozen or so into the town centre from The Long Itch Diner. Once parked up in a reserved area we watched the main ride in comprising several hundred bikes and scooters. The day was then spent socialising, looking at bikes, sampling the food and drink from the many street traders, cafes and pubs.

The second event was to Bidford on Avon Airfield where the annual Wings and Wheels takes place. The displays of classic vehicles and aircraft proved so popular that late arrivals were turned away. There was no arranged ride in but several members attended and got in ok.

Probably the next event we attend after you receive this edition of Nacelle will be the extremely popular Cassington Bike night (which actually usually gets started around lunchtime)

Bookings are now being taken for our ‘Bring it Home’ rally (see our advert in Nacelle)

Please read our emails or website triumphmeriden.org.uk for details of upcoming activities or, better still, turn up on a Monday evening from around 7.30pm.

This month we welcome 3 new members, Thomas Cook, Kenneth Baker and Jason Dean.
