Meriden Branch Report June 2023

Early June we made our annual appearance at the somewhat disappointing Coventry Motofest. Our location could have been better. We had 6 bikes on show plus my Tina which created some interest. On Sunday Ron’s 1946 Speed twin joined a bike procession around the ring road as the oldest bike at the show.

2 weeks later our branch gazebo was in the grounds of The British Motor Museum, Gaydon for the ‘Banbury Run’. Several bikes were on display. The day was cut a bit short by heavy rain.

Our Monday evening visit by the Northampton Branch was a non event as only I bike

crossed the county line.

Half a dozen members met at the Touchdown Cafe and rode to Cassington for their ever popular and extremely well attended bike night. Several more members made their own way there. Motorcycle genius Alan Millyard attended on his 6 cylinder Kawasaki.

Chairman Den has this message: The Meriden branch will be once again hosting a stand at this year’s (10th – 12th Nov 2023) NEC Classic vehicle show.

All Members from all branches are invited to show their bikes at the show or maybe you would like to help with manning our stand in return for free entrance tickets for all participants.

Or maybe you would like a reduced entrance ticket by using the members only code N23BC118 :-   online http://www.necclassicmotorshow.com/.  Further info from Denis: - chairman@triumphmeriden.org.uk

Welcome new members: Jason Dean, Oliver Betteley, Tina Nason, Alan Thomas.
