Meriden Branch Report August 2023

On the first weekend of August we hosted our annual ‘Bring it Home’ Rally (so called because the sports field backs onto the site of the Triumph Motorcycle Works in Meriden, now a housing estate).  The event was enjoyed by all even though the weather was a bit ‘iffy’.The Friday evening quiz went down very well! Whilst the Saturday morning ride out went ahead in spite of the rain, very ably led by ‘dj’ Steve.

The other main event of the month was ‘the Big Branch Bash’ a weekend rally held at Greetham, near Oakham in Rutland. 19 branch members attended and had an enjoyable weekend in dry weather. We also attend other events in our area - see our website for more details.

Our major upcoming event is the Classic Vehicle Show at the N.E.C. (see our advert in this journal). We are usually the biggest motorcycle exhibitor with around 30 bikes. All members- no matter where in the World -are invited to display their Triumph ‘pride and joy’. Book early to secure your place on the stand.

Monday evenings at our HQ in Meriden are always well attended so why not ride in if the weather is ok or in a car if not?

Last month I omitted to name check our latest new member so a big welcome to Donald Nason and Malc Foskett who has rejoined after an illness.

The photo is of our branch members at the Big Branch Bash.
