10th June - Meriden Megaride – It was a great turnout this year and the weather was kind to us - What a fabulous day!  Unlike previous years the ride didn’t go into Leamington, instead we enjoyed a lovely scenic ride through the countryside. Well done to Neville and all those from the Rotary Club who worked so hard to make this a very enjoyable day for everyone.  Once we all arrived at the Queens Head field there was music, scrumptious food and a great atmosphere. It seems to be growing into quite a nice little “festival”.

17th June - Banbury Run, Gaydon  - A handful of members set up the club stand at this event and had an enjoyable day, apparently they beat a path to the ‘ Bonham’s stand’ once it was established that there was free tea and coffee!

Other members attended the Wings and Wheels at Wellesbourne to see the magnificent Vulcan XM655 perform a “slow taxi” then a “fast taxi” up and down the airfield to show off the aircraft and raise funds to support its preservation. The weather was showery but it did not perturb people’s fascination of this annual event.

19th June - It was a pleasant evening as Ian Ellis led us on a beautiful ride through the countryside, passed the Triumph Factory and finally to our destination to meet up with some Leicester branch members. It was great to meet like-minded folk, look at their bikes and chat, maybe we should do this more regularly.

20th June - Blue Lias Meet – Several members attended this event but I haven’t really had much feedback on the evening.

23rd June  - Sunset to Sunrise Tour – Four brave members got a right soaking when they attended this charity event to raise money for the Macmillan Cancer Support.  Apparently it was rather precarious in places due to the amount of rain running down the roads.  Well done to Dave Parry, Gerry Boland, Bob Wisdom and Bob Johnson

24th June  - M.A.G. EU Demo  - this was a very well disciplined and well supported Run, there were a few showers but that didn’t dampen anyone’s spirits.

25th June - Cassington Bike Meet – My first time to this event. (Glad we got there early) It was very well organised and a great evening.

29th Jun – 1st Jul ‘BRING IT HOME RALLY’ – What a fantastic weekend!!

We had some really encouraging comments and the weather was so good that we expect many members will be kicking themselves for not coming.

A big thank you to everyone who supported this weekend. (A more detailed report will follow shortly).

Finally, a warm welcome to our new members:

Darren Taylor, Paul Washbrook, Gary Martin, Jesse Denny and Nige Woodward.
