Meriden Branch Report November 2013

The last official run on the Meriden Branch Calendar saw 5 bikes and one pillion, Mary ,along with Steve on his newly purchased Thunderbird sport.

A dismal Sunday morning gradually cleared up and was led by John Stoddard to the Autumn Steam Party at Draycott in the Clay.

We parked up to the usual sights and smells of steam and with the engines trundling around the site from bygone years.

Lots of interest was shown by the public in the bikes and the club between our frequent visits to the on site café for coffee and welcoming bacon butties!

Steve says his thunderbird runs well now that the dog biscuits have been removed from the airbox put there by some little furry fiend.

Keith would like to thank all the Meriden members for supporting the runs, shows etc throughout the year.

Message from Gerry

I would like to thank Len and Julie for suggesting the lakes at Barston for the club Christmas dinner with a queen tribute act and Martin for booking the venue for all that wished to attend a very good night was had. I would also like to thank all that came to my place to cheer me up after my spill and every one who ask how I'm getting on now. And yes it will take some time for my shoulder to get back to normal but I hope to ride my bike soon.

Regards Gerry boland.

Finally Ian would like to thank all the new members that have joined this year and would hope to see them at the branch meeting every Monday  to socialise with the rest of the members.

Ride Safe
