Meriden Branch Report September 2017

The Nacelle editors' picture gremlins inserted the wrong picture last month.

The Branch Barbecue at the end of August was a great success, the weather was kind to us and our Members were very generous with their donations. We raised £160 which will be donated to the Acorns Children's Hospice for Christmas. Thanks to everyone for your support.....Julie.

September 3rd started a busy month with twelve bikes ridden on minor roads to the Horse, Pony and Donkey Sanctuary at Oxhill. Refreshments were taken in the cafe. More tea and home made cakes were consumed at the customary stop at Wren Hall before making our separate ways home....Keith.

Cleobury Mortimer Bike Show attracted only six riders due to the leaden skies. B&W had a good display of Triumphs and we had a chat with Allen Broad regarding the NEC Classic Show. The ride home included a stop at the Severn Valley Railway at Kidderminster for refreshments before completing the trip home....Keith.

Simon led sixteen bikes to the Wardington Charity Bike Meet along some great country lanes including Edge Hill and Sunrising Hill. As  I was tail gunner for a change I was able to hear the lovely sounds of all the Triumphs ahead. This event is organised by Simon and the landlord of the Hare and Hounds. All money raised goes to the Heart Foundation.....Keith.

At least 20 of our members attended the Concorde Rally, a great event as always.

Welcome to new members Dave Baker, Dennis Cartwright and Stuart Shearsby.
