Meriden Branch Report September 2015

13th September - Cleobury Mortimer Show, Nine Triumphs set off for this show, it should have been ten but Ian Snell had a puncture overnight. On arrival it was into the school canteen for refreshments, then on to the bikes on display. We had a chat with B'ham / Wolves Branch who had bikes on display in the main hall. After about 3 hours we made our way home via Kidderminster Severn Valley Railway Station, stopping off for more refreshments sitting on the station platform watching Steam Engines coming and going, what a grand sight, sound and smell! We lost Steve and Mary on route but they found us at Kiddy Station 'Nice One'. A sneaky police car nearly ruined the day, but we spotted him just in time - we were travelling a bit fast heading for home.

On 20th September, 12 of us on 11 bikes paid a visit to john Young and his fabulous collection of triples. A few hours were spent happily chatting about and admiring various motorcycles, the weather was great and we thank both Sonia and John for their kind hospitality.

25 of us made it to the Concorde Rally, unfortunately not enough to come away with the 'Highest Branch Attendance award' this year, well done B'ham Wolves. Thanks to Bristol Branch for a great weekend, and again the weather was glorious.

Our Christmas Dinner has been arranged for the 11th of December; please contact me for details if interested.
