Meriden Branch Report June 2017

Hello again members,

another bumper month for Meriden Branch so I'll jump right in.

Over the weekend of 3rd - 4th June we had the Coventry MotoFest where the club stand was in attendance. The event was well supported with 20 club bikes on display over the weekend.

The 10th saw the Daventry Motorcycle Festival 12 bikes met at the Long Itchington Diner to be led in by our chairman Steve Bradwick.

I6th - 18th B'ham & Wolves Thunderbird Rally. We did rather well. Mary won furthest travelled female and Barry Collier won best Hinckley.

On the 18th we had the Banbury Run at Gaydon, Branch stand in attendance with 9 Meriden bikes on display. A chap called "Scruff" from the Gloster Meteors came along to say hello.

The 25th was the Meriden Mega ride. This is now a regular fixture in our calendar and is growing year on year. Something over 100 bikes met at the Arrow Mill Hotel for the ride in to the Queens Head in Meriden. People came from everywhere, including Barry and Dave from Gloucester Meteors and Several from B'ham & Wolves.

Going slightly off topic, I would like to remind everybody that the weekend of August 4th - 6th sees our branch's Bring It Home Rally. This is held at the Barkers Butts Rugby Club in Meriden. This has a limit of 150 places although at the time of writing I understand there are still some tickets available. If past experience is any guide this will be a good event.

That's it, ride safe,

 Alistair
