Meriden Branch Report January 2024

Event wise Winter is always quiet. Several members joined the local V.M.C.C. section for a Boxing Day Run to the Dog Inn at Nether Whitacre, North Warwickshire. The Newark Bike Show in January attracts quite a few of our members. Mostly our social gatherings have been at our HQ, as above; often seeing over 30 of us attending. Other popular meeting places include Wellesbourne Airfield cafe on Tuesday mornings and Hoar Park farm cafe on Wednesdays.

If this journal reaches you by 26th February then please attend our AGM at HQ, 8.00pm prompt start. We need your support and input for the years programme of events. There is a seat on the committee which needs to be filled by someone to organise and occasionally lead runs and other events. The club needs you!

The calender will hopefully fill up as the year progresses, depending on the members input. The big upcoming national celebration is the 75th anniversary weekend at Shelsley Walsh (see the advert in this journal). Our branch will have a stand there and needs Triumph bikes to populate it. Our annual weekend rally in August is now open for bookings.

In order to book our annual stand at the N.E.C. Classic Vehicle Show we need a show of interest from owners to display at least 20 bikes. It would be a shame to let this major event slip from our calender, so please offer your bike(s).

We welcome new members including: Carl Seaman and John Hemmings.
