Meriden Branch Report February 2022

Our AGM will have happened by the time you read this. We thank Derek for the time he has spent over the last ten years in communicating information from the club to the members. Happy retirement! His successor is John Ison whom we thank for stepping into the breach. He has now joined our branch committee.

We also needed volunteers to take the club’s trailer to events. So as well as existing drivers:

Festival 1000 bikes - Denis O'Neil

Big branch bash - Steve Malin

Founders Day - Derek Moxon (possible)

Motofest - Barry Heath

Thanks must go to provisional volunteers P. Dyer, M. Papworth, J. Ison, and I. Ellis.

The full minutes of the AGM should be on our branch website once written up.

As well as the regular Monday evening informal meetings we have, on Sunday April 3rd our usually regular branch Auto jumble held at our HQ, Heart of England Club, Berkswell Road, Meriden. Sellers set up from 12.00pm, visitors 1.00pm. Refreshments will be available.

On Sunday April 17th our annual Easter egg charity run To the Acorn Childrens Hospice in Selly Oak, Birmingham.

Following that the next branch event is the ride in to Rugby Bikefest on Sunday 22nd May from the Long Itch Diner. More details of all events will be on the website as well as by email if you are on our list.

This month we welcome 2 new members, Melvyn Lightwood and Ian Draper.
