Meriden Branch Report December 2014

The Meriden Branch decided this year to offer an alternative to the usual Christmas dinner and it was decided to have the offer of 2 alternative nights.

The first one being on the 11th December where 28 of the members attended an ABBA Tribute night at the Lake at Barston. The Band were really good and soon most of the party were up giving it some action on the Dance Floor until the early hours!

Everyone agreed that it was a very enjoyable evening.

The second night was the more traditional Christmas meal at the Toby Carvery at Stonebridge Island. 30 members attended many with their partners to celebrate Christmas and all the usual party tricks and crackers were pulled much to the delight of everyone.

It was a successful end to a good biking year and with increased membership it is hoped that the coming year will be even better with many outings and of course the “Bring it Home” Rally 24 -26th July.

Thanks should go to Julie for arranging the Christmas outings and for all the hard work she has done for Meriden as the Branch Secretary.

First outing of the New Year will be on Sunday 25th January where a breakfast meeting is being arranged at the Toby Stonebridge Island and then weather permitting a run out to the Classic Car and Bike gathering at the Armouries Museum, Gospel Oak Lane, Pathlow, Stratford upon Avon.
