Meriden Branch Report August 2016

Hello again members.

August has been another amazingly busy month for us.  We kicked it off of with our 5th Bring it Home Rally on the weekend starting the 5th of August.  We had over 90 attendees and on the Saturday Keith led a ride out comprising 19 bikes and 21 members.  I think I can safely say that this was our best event to date, we were blessed with good weather and everyone had a great time.

On the 13th a good number of members rode over to Bruntingthorpe proving ground for the Petrol heads event.  We took our branch stand and in a great spirit cooperation we had members from Leicester and Derby branches.  This worked really well and we hope we can do it again.   The icing on the cake here was our Steve winning the best bike prize.

On Sunday 28th Aug we had a ride out to Toddington GWR Station. Keith kindly led the 14 bikes  + 3 pillions across Warwickshire and Gloucestershire, along some roads the rest of us didn’t even know existed! It was a lovely day, with only a couple of light showers to contend with.

Monday 29th was our Branch BBQ and again the weather was fantastic. We had a good turnout and thanks to everyone who attended and made a donation to the Air Ambulance, we raised £121.

That’s all I have room for I will include the new members next month.

Regards Alistair.
