Meriden Branch Report August 2015

Hello all.

August kicked off on the 9th with the Warwick classic vehicle show.  18 bikes met up for the ride in for this event which was packed with classic cars and a few bikes and scooters.  After a couple of hours of displaying our bikes Keith led a ride to the top lock at Hatton where there was much partaking of tea and cake.  Due to the beautiful weather nobody wanted to go home so cue another ride around the lanes to Wren Hall, Wroxall for more teas, coffees and Cakes before all finally wended their ways home.

Our last event of the month was our branch barbeque.  We had 30 hardy souls brave the rain for our Barbecue. A couple of them even turned up by motorcycle, Gary from B'ham/Wolves rode over from Stourbridge, and our Ian who is a little more local.

The Branch covered the cost of the food and we just asked for donations for the WNAA. Along with a small raffle we raised £59.22.

This takes out total for the year up to £651.25.

Thanks to Steve B for cooking for us, and Derek for supplying a couple of Gas Barbecues. Spirits were high and between the 30 of us we managed to munch our way through 72 burgers and sausages.

Many thanks to everyone for supporting us.

That’s all for this month.

Ride safe, Alistair.
