VMCC Banbury Run I could not make this meet and have had no written reports about it but I believe there was a good turnout and the club stand did well. 27th June. Meriden Mega Ride. I could not make the ride in but went straight to the Meriden finishing point and met up with the lads on our stand. Another good turn out and good day. 28th June 2010 Cassington. About 8 of us met up at Stratford’s bike park at about 2:30 pm and Keith led the way to another good day with good weather and a mega turn out as usual. 4th July 2010. Meriden Meet / BBQ. Report by Carroll Woodall. The Meriden BBQ was a great success this year due to the weather being very kind to us we had a good turn out of friends and family. There were seven members from the Peterborough Branch who arrived very early at 11am. just in time for the first bacon butty. Also 5 members from Redditch came along. We did run out of food to cook as there were about 60 people to feed, every one enjoyed themselves and gave complements to the chief Martin Wake. The new steward Mick kindly opened the bar and gardens for us at 11.30am as it was so very hot in the sun. There is a play area for the children too which was enjoyed by them. Thanks Carroll. 9th –11th July. Festival of a Thousand Bikes. It was my turn to take the club stand equipment in the club trailer provided by Martin. It gave me the opportunity to try out my newly acquired little Romahome which was a great success. Camping in comfort. Ian & Shirley, Brian & Deb, and John N and John S camped over the weekend with most club members visiting on a daily basis. There was a good display of our bikes on the stand resulting in overflowing over the end of our allotted space, despite the fact that we had 1½ pitches. It was an excellent weekend as usual with good entertainment as we have come to expect 9th – 11th July, Beacons Branch Offa's Dyke .Report by Carol Woodall There were 7 of us who went to this Rally and enjoyed it as the weather was very good evenings entertainment was excellent too. Gerry Boland took us on a ride out to Sennybridge an Army training ground with beautiful view's of the valleys' and country side.We took along a new learner rider who enjoyed the whole trip and can't wait to pass his test now and hopefully we may have a new member when he buys a Triumph!! Thanks again Carol.
